The landscape as a vulnerable body, bruised and in search for a new postion.

Le Corps Blessé ( bruised body ) is the outcome of a three month residency at RAVI Liège, located in a former charcoal factory. During my stay I’ve studied the city, its history, the landscape and impact of industrialization. Even though the extraction of charcoal has ended the traces are still visible within the city and suburbs, by the presence of slag heaps.

The different works move around a central installation of sculptures in charcoal sand, a byproduct of the industry. They draw a new narrative through space onto the interior of the old factory.
