The 18th century Vleminckx Chapel is an old devotion chapel in the city center of Leuven. In the past it attracted people from across Belgium looking for healing and protection. Today this historical site is part of the Kadoc-KU Leuven archive and research center, it is currently going through a major restauration project. Through my research on location and by using the Kadoc archive I'm preparing an in-situ work.

The light that intrudes space, descending dust, it changes our experience of space. The layers that arise carry information and tell us more about time, space and context. Reconnaissance is the dialogue between the now and past, time and space.
